Whatever! Wednesday - Promotion Georg Jensen Ring

Today I am using my blog for what it was originally shamelessly plug my own shops.  Actually, I only want to plug one item today. It is this gorgeous Georg Jensen antique ring.  It is one of the very early art nouveau designs of Georg Jensen and carries the design mark 11,  Prior to 1925, Georg Jensen used the .830 silver standard used by many countries at the time. Sometime in 1925 he changed to the .925 standard that was being used by most European countries.  The use of .830 silver, certainly does not diminish the beauty of this ring. The Georg Jensen raised letter mark was used between 1915 and 1927. When combined, the two marks tell us that the ring was probably made between 1915 and 1925.  Here is a bit of history of Georg Jensen, the man and the company.
Acquired in the mid-1980's, I have kept it polished because it is part of my personal collection and I have worn it as a pinky ring many times over the years. I rarely wear it anymore and have decided it should be in the possession of someone who will wear it, enjoy it  and  who will appreciate its timeless beauty.

The Georg Jensen company is known for its outstanding quality and the beauty and elegance of its designs. Priced at $725, it is actually priced at the very low end of the value range for a Georg Jensen ring of this age and in this condition. Compare it to these other Georg Jensen rings: design #46e, design 11a, design 10
