We often see deer passing through our pastures on their way to water. It is usually just a flash of brown and white leaping over the fence and then gone from sight. This morning, I was looking out the kitchen window and saw a large deer walking towards the house. She turned and started down one of the driveways. Of course, I ran to get my camera and I snagged a few shots of her from the house. Then she disappeared and I went outside and saw her under the pear trees and took a couple of shots. I was afraid I would spook her so I went back to the house and into the fence around the pool, thinking I could get some photos of her from there...but she was no where to be found. After looking at the photos, I realized she had seen me take the last shot of her and I am sure she took off while I was on my way into the fence. Oh, well. It was fun to watch her for that tiny little while.
Coming over the hill--I wonder if anyone's home down there?
Yes, I am beautiful and so graceful!
Being Cautious--Is Anybody Looking?
Munching on a Pears
Can you see her face behind the leaves? She spotted me and that was it!
Next time, if there is one, I will let her eat the pears in peace.
