Early Spring Fever Free Printable

I have a touch of early spring fever and have been playing with my watercolors. I was inspired by the beautiful flowers I received from my husband for Valentine's Day.

This gorgeous arrangement from Laura Jane's:

And these that he picked up at the supermarket on the Friday before Valentine's Day:

So I had lots of inspiration.  Then the warmer temperatures moved in and I had a touch of spring fever. So, I combined inspirations and came up with this.

You can download or print a copy of this art work for your personal use, here.  Hope you have
a great weekend.

Spring will be here soon!

Reflection of My Heart

I have this great photo of my husband in his Greek fisherman's cap that I gave him for Christmas.
Then I had this photo of me with the sunglasses. Well why not have my sunglasses reflecting that great photo of my love. So, using Photoshop,  I popped him right in there. Well, I may have made that sound a little easier than it was but really, after I figured it out it was pretty easy.

First I added some color to his photo so that it would blend in with my sunglasses. Then I used the lasso tool to isolate the part I wanted to copy and the transform tool to grab it. Then I copied it to my photo and reduced the size to fit in my glasses. Repeated the process for the second lens and then touched up the color around the transferred photo to make it blend in with my glasses.  I had to experiment a couple of times before I figured out the best way to do it. I'm really happy with the way it turned out and plan to have it printed on canvas and use it in a gallery wall.

Try it. It was fun.

IF:Gathering Inspired Art

Last weekend I attended my first IF:Gathering. Except that I didn't get to gather. I was supposed to go to an IF:Local at our church but I was sick and had to stay home. Fortunately, I was still able to see and experience this event by attending the gathering, online at LiveStream. It was a wonderful event and I heard many inspiring and challenging messages and learned about some awesome ministries.  If you are not familiar with IF, please check them out here.

One message in particular, given by Lauren Chandler spoke to me.  Her message was from John 4, the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well.  It was an inspiring message, calling us to trust that Jesus will keep us filled with his living water and supply all that we will ever need to sustain us during times of trouble. When Jesus explains to the woman that he is the living water and that he is the Messiah, she leaves to tell her town about Jesus.  Something that I had never noticed in this passage before is that she walked off and left her valuable water jar at the well.  When trouble comes, and it will, will you be full of the living water that will sustain you through it or will you be trying desperately to fill your water jar?

I painted this to remind me that  my trust and faith are in Jesus and he will see me  through whatever is to come and because of that, I can leave my water jar at the well.

Hope you have a blessed day.
